Introducing Bake British

Posted on February 8, 2016

Hello!

Happy New Year! Yes…I know its February and so its ridiculous for me to still be saying this, but you may or may not have noticed that this is my first blog post of 2016!! (Sorry!!)

So what is new with me? Well quite a lot actually! On social media I have alluded to the fact that I was working on some rather special projects and I can now reveal one of them: I have just launched a brand NEW range of baking kits! Bake British is part of the Bake With Suzy family and like all of the Bake With Suzy baking kits, includes all of the key ingredients to make one of my recipes inside the tin!

There are three new Bake British Kits:

English Mini Scones:

The tins are gorgeously dinky, feature a very patriotic design and are all food grade. Look out for these coming to a shop near you soon! (Advance orders WORLDWIDE have been flooding in!!)

Other Bake With Suzy kits can still be found in lots of brilliant shops including Littlewoods, Amazon, BoxD Gifting & Funky Food and would make perfect Mother’s Day Gifts.

As well as Bake British, I have also been working on another very special project and I will reveal all about that when I can….

In the meantime I can tell you that 2016 is fast shaping up to be pretty incredible! I am once again going to be Marie Curie’s Official Tea Party Queen/Blogger for the Blooming Great Tea Party Campaign.

Last year I got to film recipe videos, & I held my own tea party, which raised £1000 for Marie Curie! How will I top that? Well I have a few ideas…watch this space!

I am delighted to have been asked to be a judge again for The World Bread Awards. Entry is now open, with judging taking place later in the year. I must remember to wear something very elasticated and to skip breakfast that day…!

I am so unbelievably excited to have been asked to Host & Compere the Baking Stage at The Thame Food Festival, where the baking stars include Nadiya Hussain, Luis Troyano, Howard Middleton, Miranda Gore Browne, Richard Bertinet & Richard Burr! The festival takes place on Saturday 24th September and has fast become one of the top food festivals in the country. It will be so much fun to chat to these brilliant baking personalities & watch them do what they do best!

A humungous thank you must go to Kenwood for saving the day by sending me a beautiful pale pink Kenwood Chef Sense. My old mixer broke part way through a big project and I now have my Kenwood to help me finish things off.

As well as being a gorgeous looking machine, it is also incredibly efficient as scraping the bottom of the mixing bowl – a real bug-bear of mine with some other machines. So far everything I have made in it has been a bit of a secret, but I promise to show my bakes soon.

In other news, I am going to try my hand at Periscoping soon! Follow me on Periscope @SuzyPelta and I will show you behind the scenes of Suzy Pelta Bakes, as well as an up close look at my new products.

Competitions are lined up for the next few months and I don’t plan on stopping giving stuff away! Please make sure you enter competitions correctly – all my T&C’s are in every competition launch post – and also make sure you check back to see if you’ve won! Lots of brilliant prizes are up for grabs – you just have to be in it, to win it! 😉

I think that is all for now! Thanks for reading, and most importantly, thank you for supporting me as this really is going to be an exciting year!
