Virus

My computer has had a virus. According to Mr P, a very very bad one. At one point, it was ‘woofing’ at me like a dog! I didn’t know they could do that!
My computer’s virus made me sad. I am so reliant on it for my constant checking of my emails, Facebook, twitter, my blog stats, eBay, and ASOS (don’t tell Mr P) that I felt a little (more than) lost without it. Ok yes I have an iPhone, but sometimes my eyes go a little funny from staring at the tiny screen and I need my computer.
I remember the days before everyone had computers and mobile phones. In fact, I was one of the first of my friend’s to get a mobile, about 19 years ago!!!!! Interesting fact….I still have the same telephone number…..! My first phone was one of those Motorola flip phones, where the flip actually did nothing and was just for decoration, as was the aerial! To charge it, you had a base to sit it on, with a space for a spare battery. I remember thinking I was so cool to have a mobile phone!
My first computer was a Commodore Amiga 1500. It couldn’t really do much, but what it could do, was talk to me. You could just type sentences in and it would speak them back to you. My particular favourite at the time, was typing my maths’ teachers name followed by, smells of poo poo….over and over again! (Oh dear… Still makes me giggle!)
Anyway, back to 2012….this weekend has been about barbeques and planes. The whole family clubbed together to buy Mr P flying lessons for his birthday and so yesterday he flew a plane with his brother and Louis in the back!
I bought Mr P a barbeque for his birthday and the whole family enjoyed an array of meaty treats. Especially amazing was the way Louis ate: sausages, burgers, chicken, corn on the cob, salad, green vegetables and home-made chips. This boy is really making up for all the years of hating food!
This week ahead is another busy one! There is a big campaign launching this week that I am very excited to be a part of, and I have meetings relating to my product development work! Busy busy…..!
