Claire Clark Academy, Foodies Festival and More!

Posted on June 5, 2017

Hello!

Big catch up from me due! As usual I am quite rubbish at remembering to update my blog  – sorry! But its only because I have been so busy!!

This past month saw me attend the launch of The Claire Clark Academy in Milton Keynes. Claire was a judge on the first series of Bake Off Creme de la Creme and has had the most incredible career as a pastry chef including working at The Ritz, and Claridges. Her Academy is a chance to train the next generation of pastry chefs and the facilities and the teaching staff are incredible!

It was a very fun evening spending time with lots of baking friends including Paul Jagger and his gorgeous wife Viv!

Also this month I was asked to be on a Women In Food Panel Event that Hari Ghotra had organised, all about ‘Writing a Cook Book’.

It was held at The Shard and was a truly informative evening as every member of the panel had taken a different publishing journey. It was also great to chat to the participants and soak up the atmosphere of a London sunset.

At the end of May I had my first appearance at Foodies Festival at Syon Park:

I had two demos and met lots of great foodie faces, such as 2017 Masterchef Champion Saliha Mahmood Ahmed! Check out more pictures here. It was so much fun being part of the Foodies Festival Family and I am looking forward to the 5 more Foodies Festivals dates coming up – check out the appearances section of my blog for more details on them and for all of my upcoming appearances – including this Friday in Peter Jones, Sloane Square and John Lewis, Oxford Street!

So, what else? Well…a foodie day out in London with my besties, ended in us going to Foyles to find my book! Which we did and which I was VERY happy about! 🙂

It still is so exciting to see my book in a shop and I absolutely love getting pictures from you of your bakes from my book…please keep them coming!

I have started writing some blog posts for this year’s Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party Campaign and you can read them here and here! Also, check out the Blooming Great Tea Party Pack, which features lots of useful tea party aids, such as balloons, bunting, cake face selfie tools, a donation box and many pictures of me!! (Ok maybe the pictures of me aren’t so useful!) 😉 There is still time to sign up to host your very own Tea Party…more info here.

Are you on Instagram? If so, come and find me: @SuzyPelta I am especially loving Instagram Stories – posting little snippets of my day. Often featuring my monkeys aka children 🙂

Oh and don’t forget that I love competitions! And I have LOTS more prizes lined up. Keep an eye out for more chances to win…

Right, I think that is all for now!

Be back soon!

Suzy xx

P.S. I have eaten out lots this month, including delicious authentic Italian food at Fiddies Swiss Cottage. Incredible ice cream (it was nearly impossible to pick a flavour!) at Sprinkles, Swiss Cottage. Lots and lots of yummy fresh sushi at J2 Sushi in Borehamwood. Brilliant brunch at The Ivy Market Grill. And a very healthy and delicious lentil salad at LLS Cafe in Hampstead
