Bread, Chocolate & Birthdays

It been birthday week here and that has meant lots of cake, dinners out and special family times:
But before all of that there was The World Bread Awards Gala Dinner, where I got to catch up with lovely Luis Troyano:

And GBBO’s Kimberley Wilson:
We were treated to a ‘posh ploughmans’ whilst listening to the winners being called. There was a lot of bread talent in that room!
I’ve also been to The Chocolate Show Gala Evening!
This is the third year that I’ve been fortunate enough to attend, but the first year where I actually invited my husband along!! He is a big chocolate fan, and so the two of us and our friends Natasha and Paul tried as much chocolate as we could!
I met up with Marie Curie to chat about this year’s Blooming Great Tea Party and also to discuss next year! I can tell you, the ideas are REALLY exciting and I am so looking forward to getting things going in the new year! Watch this space!!
My Oreo Stuffed Brownies have been causing quite a stir on social media…especially in their Twix Brownie adaptation! Thanks to all of you that have sent me your pictures, here are just a few:
I’ve also attended Mr Sherick’s Shakes Cocktail Evening, which included cocktails including milkshakes in them:
I took my gorgeous friend Hayley with me and we had a very fun night trying out (nearly) every single cocktail!! (The coffee one was my favourite!)
So as you can see, I am most definitely living by this motto:
And today is my 12th Wedding Anniversary:
So we are off to enjoy a celebratory dinner….I think I need to invest in more elasticated clothing!!!
