Helloooo

Hello, it’s news post time!

It’s been a funny old week here. I’ve been in the kitchen working on Bake With Suzy, which has involved something plastic (!!!) and very precise measuring (!!!) All to be revealed soon…

I had a brief break from the kitchen to run some errands, but managed to get a flat tyre! This was my second one in a month so I was not happy! But my girls loved the tyre replacement experience:

I’ve also been baking an old favourite! My Lorraine Cake Club winning recipe – Chocolate & Banana Cake makes a brilliant loaf cake (I left off the frosting).

You simply follow the method exactly as if you are making a round cake, but bake it in a loaf tin instead! Perfect for when you have some bananas you need to use up, as the recipe uses three. Special mention must go to the cutest pan licker ever:

Lots of you have been watching my video with Mel Giedroyc and have asked where the baking cases are from. They are really clever baking cups from Iced Jems and you can even open them up and use them as little cake plates! Mel was very taken with them and I must admit to having added to my already heaving baking case collection with these beauties:

And these mini beauties:

This was my baking case collection before I added to it…

I might have have a problem….. 😉

In other news, i’ve just launched another competition! This one is just for Twitter, but check it out because you could win a gorgeous personalised wash bag!

More info here. I also have competitions lined up right through to the summer! A really wide variety of prizes available so they’ll hopefully be a prize to suit everyone! 🙂

I conducted a straw poll on Facebook to see if anyone would like my Cookie Dough Cheesecake Slices Recipe, and the response was sufficient enough for me to post it, so here it is!

I love cheesecakes baked as tray bakes because they are so much easier to get right than traditional cheesecakes! This one is a perfect marriage of cookie dough and cheesecake and I could literally eat it all day long….(and I actually do)… 😁

But it’s ok because I’ve got my Fitbit and on Monday I had my best steps day ever:

That was the day I went to see Take That & I’m sure my bopping to their brilliant songs helped!

Talking of Fitbit, a massive thank you to them for their incredibly generous donation to my Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party Raffle:

I know that I will sell more raffle prizes because of them!

So this weekend is all about tea with the family, dinner with friends and a special birthday afternoon tea for a lovely friend!

Be back soon

Suzy xx
