Mustard Competition is CLOSED

Thank you for all of your entries to win the I Heart Cake Mould and Eggspress Mould from Mustard.
The competition is now closed. I will be announcing the lucky winner and 2 runners-up next week!
In the meantime, I have been a busy bee. On Thursday I took part in a live twitter cake decorating event – Renshaw Cake Talk and I learnt a huge amount about decorating wedding cakes from the uber-talented Sandra Monger. Check out her website gallery, her cakes are literally unreal!!
I am very grateful to Renshaw for sending me a box of cake decorating goodies to have a play with – I will let you know how I get on!
I have been baking A LOT this week! I’ve been working on some brand new Christmas kit recipes, plus I’ve been baking honey cakes. Exactly 2 weeks today is the Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashona and it is customary then to eat sweet things – especially honey, to signify a sweet new year. The recipe that I use to make mine is one of my friends’ closely guarded family recipe, that she has very kindly shared with me. It is a cake that needs about two weeks to mature in order for it to be sticky and moist – just how a honey cake should be! I’ve made three, so there will be plenty of cake to go around!
Right now, I need an early night, sleep tight!
