In 2010 after recovering from surgery and suffering badly from depression and anxiety after a string of family tragedies, Britt was tasked to bake a cake for a charity bake sale. Having never baked before she armed herself with a packet mix and a bowl and hoped for the best. The result was a square Pudsey shaped mess but she hadn’t been that happy in years. Using her blogging background, she created a baking blog called She Who Bakes which then went on to become a very successful baking business from home. Baking hundreds of cakes over the years for many special occasions, Britt knows what it takes to make a home cake business flourish. Then earlier this year she was approached by a publishing company to turn the ebook into a real life proper book! Britt spent months writing and turned the little document into a 170 page guide, the kind of guide Britt wishes she had when she started her business.
