Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful festive period? I was lucky enough to spend Christmas week in Tenerife, where the sun shone and my biggest decision every day was which cocktail to have! 🙂

Santa even made an appearance although he had a distinctly Spanish accent…

The run up to Christmas was such a busy time that I ran out of time to tell you all about it on here (sorry)! So here is a major catch up:

BBC Good Food Show was a HUGE amount of fun! I had two demos with the cheeky Chris Bavin:

Plus a lovely interview and book signing with Sharon Hearne Smith:

And I even got to catch up with my beautiful friend Nadiya:

I went back on BBC 3 Counties Radio’s Weekend Kitchen, where I talked about my Triple Chocolate Fudgy Brownies and the Apple Pie Pastry Pockets from my book! You can listen to the show here. And for those wondering if we actually eat everything we talk about, I can tell you we do! Here is proof!!

Mr P and I had the most magical mini break at Stoke Park. It was one of the best breaks we have had – the room was incredible – with a roaring fire and four poster bed. The grounds were stunning – and even more stunning when we woke up to snow there the next day! And dinner at Humphry’s was one of the best meals of my life. We had the tasting menu and words really couldn’t do the flavour combinations and taste sensations justice. Executive Chef Chris Wheeler is actually a culinary genius. I could eat his food every day of my life and be very very happy!!

My beautiful friend Paula and I had a lovely night out at Guittard Chocolate’s Christmas event. Guittard have just launched their exquisite chocolate into the UK and this was an absolutely delicious evening filled with chocolate and chocolate cocktails! Look out for a collaboration with Guittard very soon and check out my Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe which uses their green mint chips.

I ate out a LOT in December – including cheese and port at Selfridges, followed by dinner at Kaia at The Ned on my best friends day out, and lunch at Greenberry Cafe and dinner at Chotto Matte for my birthday – lucky me!!

Big thanks to Honest Mum for sharing my Molten Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Pots recipe over on her site! These are a great, no fuss, easy dessert to wow your guests! Let me know if you make them. And you can of course find this recipe and lots more in my book: Miracle Mug Cakes and Other Cheat’s Bakes,

available from lots of great places including Amazon.

And thanks to Luxe Family 5 and Company Bug for their interviews with me!

The Lymphoma Association has shared a short video I made for them, explaining why I supported them by taking part in the Thames Bridges Trek. You can watch the video here and find out more about the vital work that the Lymphoma Association do, here. They are such a lovely and grateful charity to raise money for.

FIVE more Metro Posts have been published over the Christmas and New Year period and you can find links to all of them on my author’s page here. My latest post was a round up of healthy snacks to see you through January, and you can find that one, here! Keep an eye out as I have many more posts to come and if you have anything you would like me to write about then send me a message!

2017 was a very big year for me and I want to thank you all for reading my blogs, buying my book, sending me such lovely messages and just generally supporting me. You can read a bit more about my year here and why it is so important to me to celebrate when things are going well. I am really hoping for another great year in 2018!

I have more competitions to come soon, so look out for those and don’t forget to find me on social media – twitter, facebook and instagram for all of my latest news – especially instagram where I post stories daily!

Also keep a check on the Appearances section of my blog as this year is set to be even busier than last year!

As far as New Year’s resolutions go, I am aiming to keep my blog updated more regularly….we shall see how that goes!! 🙂

Lots of love and I will try and be back soon
